Mittens

The letter Mm is for Mittens.  A favorite book that the students love to read is THE MITTEN by Jan Brett.  This year a preschool student's grandparents came and shared the book with us and brought  animal puppets that go along with the story.  Afterwards, the students crawled into a very large white mitten and when the mouse's whiskers tickled the bear's nose, all of the students flew out of the mitten!

Another favorite book of the students is THE MISSING MITTEN MYSTERY by Steven Kellogg.  In this story Annie loses her red mitten, but is found in a very special place.  After the story was read to the students, they all sewed their own red mitten on the sewing machine.  They did a great job!
