Hibernation and Bears

Intern Teacher McKenna taught the students about hibernation, which means to sleep all winter.  Bears are not the only animal that hibernates, so do chipmunks, bats and even ladybugs.  Pictured below are the bears getting ready to hibernate and then they crawled into their cave for a long winter's nap.
Intern Teacher Jenna is teaching the students about the BIG Brown Bear that eats lots of fish, berries and grass so that he can sleep all winter long.
Teacher Marilyn, Intern Teacher Jenna and students are pictured with their bears for the Big Bear Celebration.  Each student brought their bear so that they could measure, weigh and dance with them. It was a Beary fun day!
