I am Wild about Yellowstone!

With the help of Yellowstone National Park, I am bringing Yellowstone to my preschool.  We will be learning about the terrain with the mud pots, geysers and hot pools.  Then there are the amazing water falls.  And we won't forget the wonderful wildlife; bears, bison, wolves, birds, etc. and their habitat!  There will be fun lesson plans, games and webcams to enjoy and learn from.  I have beautiful illustrated books, animal identification cards, book marks, etc. for you to take home.  Come and explore Yellowstone National Park!

Wild Wonders Here We Come!

We love animals!  We went to Wild Wonders for our final field trip for the school year.  This fun activity is for the young and old. Thank You for a wonderful school year to my great students and their parents!

I Can Paint A Sunset!

Look at this!  Children can paint sunsets with just a few instructions.  Thanks to my grandma helper, Mama Faye, we accomplished a very fun art project.

Eggs, Eggs And More Eggs

First we gathered the eggs, then boiled and colored the eggs.  We looked at newspaper ads to see how much eggs cost at the grocery store. After that we drew and wrote the word egg in our composition books, then the eggs were hid and we went on an egg hunt.  So fun!

Dr. Seuss

We love Dr. Seuss and all the books he wrote for children.  On Dr. Seuss day the students and their family members read Dr. Seuss books together.

Farm Animals

This Spring the students had lots of opportunities to pet and see all kinds of farm animals at preschool.

Stoke's Field Trip

The field trip to Stoke's Grocery Store was a big learning event for the students. They found out how the food gets to the shelves in the store and all the workers that are needed to run a store. Afterwards, the students got to decorate a freshly baked cookie from the store's bakery.

Letter Gg

The Gingerbread Man by Karen Schmidt and The Gingerbread Baby by Jan Brett have always been classic books to read for the Letter Gg.  Thanks to my mother helpers for baking the gingerbread and helping the students decorate their Gingerbread Men.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is always such a great day.  Everyone makes sure they let each other know how much they mean to them.  Here are some fun pictures showing griddle painting, heart patterning, exchanging valentines and of course we wished Principal Val, "Happy Birthday" because his birthday is on Valentine's Day!
