Hickory Kist Field Trip

Oak View Pre-School loves to visit Hickory Kist Deli.  They tour the facility with their hairnets on and see how all the delicious food is made at the deli; breads, cookies, etc.. Then it is time to decorate their cookies.  Time and creativity is put into this tasty activity.  Afterwards, everyone goes home very happy.

Early Childhood Educator Award

I would like to thank the fellow educators, interns, and my students' parents who nominated me for the 2013 Best of State Early Childhood Educator Award.  It is a great honor to receive this award.  I love teaching children and watching them develop into successful individuals. I love this profession!

Learning To Read Is A Snap!

This fun reading activity provides practice with spelling, sentence building and comprehension.  The children love to snap the cubes together to make words to read.

Drums Alive!

Drums Alive is a rhythmic movement program that wakes up the brain to do cognitive thinking.  The beating on the balls is used to help with rhyming, reading, addition, subtraction, etc., plus physical movement as well.  The children love it!
