Thanksgiving

The book, Turkey Trouble by Wendi Silvano and illustrated by Lee Harper was one of the highlights of our Thanksgiving holiday. Here you will see the disguised turkeys that the students came up with to protect their turkey from being eaten on Thanksgiving day. Very creative!
The holiday was topped off by a Thanksgiving Feast.  The students' mothers are happy to join in the festivities.

Halloween

The events leading up to Halloween are always so exciting.  Some of the activities we did this year were making fizzy paint pumpkins, fuzzy spiders, listening to stories from Witch Nana, and we did so with the help of my intern and mother helpers.

Intern Teacher Carlie

One of my interns this year is Teacher Carlie.  Teacher Carlie is here with one of the students sharing her love of music with her viola.

The Red Barn

It is tradition to go to the Red Barn every year in the Fall. We have so much fun from riding on the wagons to participating in all the activities at the facility.  When we are done, we love to eat applesauce doughnuts and take home a pumpkin!

2017-18 School Year

This new school year started out with a Dragon theme.  We had so much fun reading stories about dragons, eating tacos (because dragons love tacos) and doing Zentangle art.
The students also memorized a poem entitled:
"I Found A Dragon"
I found a Dragon.
I gave it a ride in my new Wagon.
I asked my mother if it could live in the House.
She said, only if it's the size of a Mouse!
