Number 10 Celebration
Reaching numeral 10 through counting, recognition and writing is a big accomplishment for the students. We all learn in different ways. Here you will see how the children had fun learning in a visual and concrete way.
Polar Bears
The students studied about different species of bears. One in particular was the Polar Bear. The Polar Bear lives where it is very cold. For their art project they used water colors to paint the background before adding their Polar Bear. They did a great job!
Hickory Kist Deli Field Trip
What a great group of children and look, they are wearing hairnets. That is what you do when you tour a bakery. You will see that there are cakes to be frosted, large loaves of bread to be sliced and valentine cookies to be decorated and of course eaten!
Thanksgiving
I love Fall for all the bounteous reminders of color, love and blessings that it provides us. This season we made turkeys out of filters and colored them with markers. We also painted pine cones and added feathers to make turkeys. We had a Thanksgiving Feast with the help of mother helpers.

Halloween
As many of you know Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. We started off by painting luminaries and pumpkin patches.
Witch Nana visited and entertained us with her pet spider and stories. We love it when she comes!

Red Barn and Pumpkin Patch Here We Come!
Our annual field trip to the Red Barn and Pumpkin Patch is so much fun. The parents and grandparents love it as much as the students do.
"Ss" is for Sunflower
Who could resist making these fun sunflowers in the Fall. I love this outside photo of the students with their sunflowers.
Zentangled Elephants
Our school year began with studying about elephants. Here you will see the students amazing abilities coloring Zentangled Elephants. I was impressed with their creativity.
